My name is Cecilia Golombek and I am the female County Committee Member for ED 62/AD 52 through 2020.

Submitting my 43 signatures to be an official candidate for the Brooklyn Democratic Party County Committee

Like many, I marched, petitioned, had heated debates, read the news, and was generally frustrated and disheartened with the state of our country and place in the world. After some time dwelling in those frustrations, I started to look for opportunities to engage and for a place to be around others who were taking action. Through this search, I became a member of New Kings Democrats and learned about Rep Your Block, a campaign to teach and get people elected onto County Committee - to bring about reform to the Brooklyn Democratic party.

Thanks to many of you in this ED, I had enough signatures in September 2018 to be elected along with my male counter part, Brian King, and to get a bit more embedded into the workings of this neighborhood that I have loved deeply since moving here 9 years ago.

I will be updating this site with information about the work of the County Committee, ways to get involved in the reform movement in the Brooklyn Democratic Party, as well as a place to have conversation and learn.
