My name is Cecilia Golombek and I have been living in New York, specifically on St. Marks between 4th and 5th Avenues for 9 years. I love this neighborhood, I love New York, and recently I took that relationship to another level - I ran for office in the Brooklyn Democratic Party!

I only recently learned about the County Committee, the most local office in the Brooklyn Democratic Party, and I decided that was something I wanted to know more about and it was where I was going to put my effort and energy into. Throughout the earlier part of 2018, I learned about Brooklyn Democratic politics, how opaque the working of it is, and also joined with a large group of excited reformers looking to make a change in our beloved borough. 

I was elected in September and have so far enjoyed greatly having had the opportunity to meet and engage with many of you. I want this website to be a space for learning and discussion about the needs and interest of the Brooklyn Democrats in ED62/AD 52.

I hope that the notes I write and send here will be of interest and that you will let me know what you would like to know more and talk about. I will also post links to organizations and events that are involved and focused on teaching, supporting, and gathering other like-minded democratic reformers.
